Knowing Your Website Information:

When you begin the process towards a new website, you find out very quickly that there are a lot of things involved. It's important to make sure you're a part of this set-up process. Request a back-up disk of your website. Make sure your Domain name is registered to you. And make sure to have all the passwords and accounts set up in your name. Failure to do these kinds of tasks can put you in a position were you loose your Domain all together, or end up switching Web Design companies and having to pay for a new website all over again. Ask your web company what they can do for you.

How to Get a More Affordable Website:

One of the best ways to save some money on your new website, is to be well prepared and help us help you. For example, if you have a friend that needs a website, ask them to join you on getting a website with Bad Armadillo and you can receive a discount for bringing an additional person our way. Also, if you have your own text and pictures, or Branding materials for us to start with, ask about how this could help you save money with your website and design.

Choosing Content Management Systems (CMS) Software:

It's important to do research or talk to an expert when choosing your CMS software. This is software your going to be working with often, so you want to be confortable with it and get the most out of it. The first question to ask is, "what do you want your software to do for you?" Here is a bit of information that may address that exact question, depending on what you're looking for. If you want a simple, but quick, solution for updating textual and image based content, MS Frontpage's familiar Word-like work atmosphere will be easy and effective for you. Perhaps you want something more technical, like a Blog, then Wordpress is a popular option. However, you may want to go all the way to the professional level with a fully customized website, then you'll want something like Adobe Dreamweaver. Another consideration of course is price, as all of these vary from being entirely free to costing hundreds of dollars. Some other options to look into are Drupal, Joomla, Blogger, and many more.
